Helping those who could not otherwise come to High Rocks
In 2003 Camp High Rocks started the "Camp High Rocks Campership Fund" to help bring those to camp who otherwise could not.  Since then, we have had wonderful support from staff and camper alumni.  We hope to have enough in the endowment to begin offering scholarships in the summer of 2007.  We need your help to reach this goal.

To make your tax-deductible contribution to the High Rocks Campership Fund:

  • Make checks payable to “Community Foundation of Western North Carolina”
On the memo line please write “Camp High Rocks Campership Fund”
  • Mail it to:
Community Foundation of Western North Carolina
    PO Box 1888
    Asheville, NC 28802
  • All donations are tax deductible.

Spring Newsletter 2003:
We are pleased to announce the we have established a scholarship fund that will allow less fortunate boys to have a summer camp experience. High Rocks has established a campership fund with the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. This organization has a great deal of experience managing scholarship funds and has done so for several other camps in the area.

The Community Foundation will receive donations made to the Fund by friends and family of High Rocks. The Campership Fund is an endowed fund that will provide awards each year based upon its total value. This set–up will allow the Fund to continue to award scholarships as long as High Rocks exists.

We are committed to recruiting campers from a diversity of backgrounds at High Rocks and to helping those who are less fortunate. The Campership Fund is set–up in appreciation of Jane and Sumner Williams and their vision of the High Rocks experience. Hank and I look forward to preserving the traditions of High Rocks for future generations.  -Townsend Birdsong
