"Just wanted to say how impressed we have been with your communication while our son has been at camp. From the website to the letter from the counselor, you have done an exceptional job of helping us feel informed about our child while he has been away. I am sure he has had a great time given all the wonderful activities we have seen posted on the photos."

"Thanks again for providing my son with an interesting, challenging and fun summer experience. High Rocks does a superb job!"

"This was truly a wonderful camp year for our son. He's only attended for two years, but High Rocks may be his favorite place on earth - no kidding!"

"We've gleaned, from the few letters he's managed to squeeze out, that camp is awesome, caving and sailing are great, the food is fabulous, and he's enjoyed making many new friends. The only thing he would improve, I think, is his luck at fishing! But I won't hold you responsible for that."

"We appreciate the effort you and the team put into posting pictures and news on your website. I can't believe how hard-working and well-organized you all are! It really is a joy to see the kids having so much fun everyday."

“Our son has matured with every session at High Rocks. He loves it!

"We sent our son to High Rocks for a fun and exciting two weeks. We didn't realize that you would send back a different boy! He came back confident, self-assured, and has been a pleasure to be around since he returned from camp. He has even been helping with household chores without being asked! You did in two weeks what we've been trying to achieve for ten years!!"

regarding camp food: “He wrote letters home about the spice cake, red velvet cake, pancakes, waffle sticks, quesadillas, sundaes on Sundays... I love the veggie policy and the ‘Take what you want but eat what you take’ policy. Thanks for encouraging moderation, healthy habits, and occasional well-earned treats.”

“Our son loves High Rocks! He felt a sense of accomplishment, especially on the long hikes and river trips.”

“His cabin counselor was caring, intelligent, & personable. Our son learned a lot from him. I like that he read to the campers at bedtime.”

“One more compliment I would like to offer regards your ban on ‘care packages.’ My daughter is currently attending a girl's camp that allows (encourages?) care packages from home. Rather than focusing on her camp activities, her letters home have been full of complaints about not getting as many packages as other girls in her cabin! It seems that her camp experience is revolving more around consumerism than on any more valuable experiences! Thank You for banning ‘care packages’ at High Rocks!”

“I was truly impressed by how organized all of the staff at the camp was. How attentive to every detail, like sending the cabin picture, etc. Hearing all of his stories truly confirms that you guys run an excellent organization, full of fun while a great learning experience. I am sure he will always have great memories from High Rocks. Thank you for everything.”

“Our son was very nervous about going to camp. It was his first major away-from-family experience, and he is a very cautious and introverted kid by nature. In fact, two days before he was to leave, he announced that he was NOT going and suggested that we post his camp session on E-Bay to see if anyone would buy it! His dad and I reasoned, pleaded, and threatened enough to get him out of the car the first day of camp, but I was frankly afraid he wouldn't make it. Boy, was I wrong! He had a fabulous experience at camp. His cabin counselor was a wonderful leader who our son admired and wanted to emulate. He had only positive things to say about his experience at High Rocks. From the food, to the cabins, to the counselors, to the activities, he had a ball!! Consequently, I don't have any helpful criticism for you. I think you guys have a wonderful program going, and we are already looking forward to next year.”
