Whitewater
Instructors- Camp High Rocks, Cedar Mountain, NC
Camp High Rocks has
several openings for instructors in its summer whitewater program.
Instructors should be experienced in open boats, kayaks and
C-1's. Rivers we paddle include Chattooga, Nantahala, Tuckaseigee,
Broad, French Broad, Green, Little Tennessee. Experience on
these rivers is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Instruct canoeing on our 12 acre lake and on river trips. Cabin
counselor for 6 boys, ages 8-16.
Qualifications:
Completion of one college year and at least 19 years old. Paddling
experience.
Benefits: From
$250 to $400 per week for the nine or ten week season, depending on experience
and qualifications. Room, board and laundry are included. Training
in late May includes: week long ACA Whitewater Instructor course;
2-day Wilderness First Aid Clinic.
