Crafts Instructors, Camp High Rocks, Cedar Mountain, NC

Camp High Rocks, a private boys camp in Western North Carolina, has two instructor openings for it's summer crafts program. Instructors should have experience with some of the following: woodworking, tie-dye, bead/seed work, candle-making, nature crafts, or leather work. Job requires much creativity, flexibility, and imagination.

Responsibilities: Instruct craft skills with organized classes or through one-on-one help. Assist campers in creating products for enjoyment, skill development, and imagination development. Male applicants would also be a cabin counselor for group of 6 boys.

Qualifications: At least 19 years of age or rising college sophomore, experience leading crafts with children, as well as some outdoor experience.

Benefits: From $250 to $400 per week for the nine week season, depending on experience and qualifications. Room, board and laundry are included.

Dates: May 30 - August 11, 2012

Pottery Director and Instructors, Camp High Rocks, Cedar Mountain, NC

Pottery Positions at Summer CampCamp High Rocks, a private boys camp in Western North Carolina, has two instructor openings for it's summer pottery program. Instructors should have experience working with clay including: kiln firing (electric), pinch pots, pottery wheels, and glazing. Job requires much organization, creativity, flexibility, and imagination.

Responsibilities: Instruct pottery skills with organized classes or through one-on-one help. Assist campers in creating products for enjoyment, skill development, and imagination development. Male counselors would also be a cabin counselor for group of 6 boys.

Qualifications: At least 19 years of age or rising college sophomore, experience with aspects of running a pottery program.

Benefits: From $250 to $400 per week ($300-450/week for director) for the nine week season, depending on experience and qualifications. Room, board and laundry are included.

Dates: May 30 - August 11, 2012
