Riflery Instructors , Camp
High Rocks, Cedar Mountain, NC
Camp High Rocks,
a private boys camp in Western North Carolina, has instructor
openings for its summer riflery program. Instructors must
be experienced in target air rifle or similiar rifle instruction.
Our program emphasizes individual skills development and de-emphasizes
competitive aspects of sports. We have a six position covered
outdoor riflery range that allows for practice whether rain
or shine. We currently use Olympic Class Precision Air Rifles
and work on a standard three-position progression and level acheivement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instruct riflery for all levels of campers 7
to 15 years of age. Male counselors also serve as cabin
counselors for groups of 6 boys. NRA or Civilian Marksmanship (CMP) instructor level is preferred
for riflery instruction.
We also offer certification for those who are interested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 19 years of age or rising college sophomore, riflery
experience. Teaching experience or other work
with children is preferred.
BENEFITS:
From $250 to $400 per week for the nine week season, depending
on experience and qualifications. Room, board and laundry
are included.
