Camp Nurse

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, medication administration, communication with parents, and monitoring the health and well being of both campers and staff. Also the checking-in and administration of field first aid kits. We work closely with our local pediatrician located in Brevard who is available for consultation. The nearest hospital is also located in Brevard, just 8 miles from camp.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements for applicants include an RN and genuine interest in children. Candidates with previous camp experience, school nursing experience, and physicians are desirable.

Benefits

Starting salary begins at $1300 per week, determined by experience and qualifications. Often the best fit are applicants that can provide a “trade for services,” if you have a child you would like to bring as a camper. Most nurses will fill one of our Two Week, Three Week, or Four Week Sessions. Camp nurses can enjoy the active lifestyle camp provides with opportunities to enjoy many of the activities we offer to campers.
