It Doesn’t Get Any Better

The weather was nearly perfect again today; sunny, warm, and a nice breeze. It really does not get any better than this!
We had all sorts of fun in our activities today. The big hit today was that mountain biking started using the new trail we built this spring. It’s about 2500 feet of single track with some great turns, rolling hills, and other great features. The guys did not want to stop riding the trail. It was a big hit.
I was able to enjoy some fun over at Camp Illahee this afternoon! Some of our tennis and soccer campers and staff put together some mixed doubles, and coed soccer games. I enjoyed watching the boys interact with the wonderful Illahee girls. Of course, the Illahee ladies were awesome hosts. Our boys did an exceptional job as guests and all played well. I also enjoyed my visit with the directors, Gordon and Laurie Strayhorn. They do such an incredible job over there. It is truly a heavenly world.
I think my favorite meal was lunch today. Our team in the kitchen made these great homemade pizzas. I made a joke that it was the perfect meal as we headed into rest hour. With all that pepperoni and tons of cheese, how could you not want to take a little snoozer?
So my pictures are not nearly as awesome as the images from Ham our regular photographer, but I did my best. I had some outside help from a few other folks, including Zoob and Zach. I cannot tell you how excited that Ham is now back from his day off! We will definitely have more awesome pictures tomorrow.
Sorry for the late post. I just returned from bringing our older boys back from Rockbrook Camp. We did a little split hosting for a dance tonight. I took the older boys over to Rockbrook and Zoob stayed back here and hosted the younger girls at High Rocks. We are so fortunate to have so many great camps in the area. Rockbrook and Illahee are awesome programs for girls’ right here in Brevard!
Have a wonderful night!
