Summer is Coming!

With the beautiful spring weather turning camp green and colorful, we are feeling very ready to have youthful energy enjoying High Rocks once again! All the fun of activities, campfires, overnights, and companionable summer days spent in the Blue Ridge mountains is what we live for. It is also what brings our staff back year after year to spend their summers teaching, playing, talking, and just being with our campers. This year’s staff is looking to be an incredible group of young men and women who are just as fired up as your son is about camp beginning. Check out the list of staff to see who is returning, who is new, and who were campers years ago.

This time of year also produces tons of questions that we are happy to answer. Please feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email in the lead up to camp. Frequent topics include: Trunks vs. duffles? How many/what type of clothing? Is it common to be nervous now that camp is near (yes!)? Do other campers bring a favorite stuffed animal (again yes!)? What is a Crazy Creek? How do I handle travel itineraries if my son is flying? Let us know how we can help make the process as easy as possible and let you focus on the anticipation of such a big adventure.

Many of you have successfully negotiated the Parent Dashboard already and we thank you! If you need help or have not begun the experience yet, feel free to touch base with us. Our office manager, Stephanie Vlasis, is an expert and is ready for your questions. Thanks again and we are counting down the weeks!
