Beatin’ the Heat

Today’s Pictures
It was another beautiful day here at High Rocks. We are enjoying this beautiful warm sun everyday!!! I’m just glad we get to do it at 3000 feet where it isn’t terrible to be outside. The breeze, the shade, and the lake sure make a difference. Life in the eighties is delightful!
There were a number of fun events today that kept the boys busy, excited, and moving. We had a couple of “hydration stations” out and about today with Gatorade to keep these boys hydrated. We took it one step further at 5pm, when Zoob and Woody broke out the root beer float mobile! You want to talk about making friends… It was a welcomed addition to the afternoon. The boys loved it.
Some of our younger boys set out for a two-day hike in Panthertown Valley this morning. I can’t think of a more beautiful place to go. These boys are going to love it. I can’t wait to hear the stories. We also had a great trip out to the Nantahala River and a great climbing trip to Looking Glass Rock. The climbers are loving life right now! This warm high pressure is making for great trips!
I sure hope these smiling faces are showing what a great time we are having. Life at camp is fantastic!
I’m looking forward to showing you some of the air band excitement tomorrow night! Should be a hoot!
Until then…
Don
