What a Time We Have Had

It was a great last day of camp. The highlight was definitely the color war. After a hefty banquet of fired chicken, biscuits, fresh green beans, spuds, and sundaes we all headed up to campfire. Chris Dorrity shared a great story about his first ascent up El Cap in Yosemite. What a great lesson. It sure was a joy to hand out 17 five-year backpacks and two ten-year paddles. Of course, the Fritz Orr hand-crafted paddle is always a crowd pleaser.
I wish everyone safe travels tonight and tomorrow. Again, things will get started around 10:00 AM. Feel free to come in a few minutes early, load up your trunk, park, and wait out by the bell. It’s a hoot to hear these guys sing most of the songbook tomorrow morning. After you meet up with your son, be sure to hunt down your son’s cabin counselor. He has a lot to tell you about these last three weeks. Your son’s counselor may be helping out in an activity, so be sure to stop by to see him. Just ask your son, he will know where to locate him.
Make sure you stop by the cabin to get any of the items that were not in the trunk. If your son did pottery or crafts, he will also have projects to pick up. IMPORTANT: Everyone needs to checkout at the office before leaving as well. Most importantly, stay for lunch and enjoy your time here. Your son sure did!
one quick note. There was a server space error that I am working on. If you do not see a lot of color war pictures, it has not been resolved yet. Sorry for the inconvenience. I am looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow.
