Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving Day brings about traditions, giving thanks,  and a spirit of festiveness. From the smells around the house to the sounds of family re-connecting, this time of the year seems to be magical. We wanted to give special thanks to our camp community this holiday season.

To our camp families, we wanted to take a moment to reflect back on the year and be thankful for you all. You make camp, camp!  We learn so much from you all each year and are grateful to be a part of your lives. You support us in so many ways, thank you.

To our staff, thank you. Thank you for your hard work all summer long. Thank you for the endless smiles. Thank you for being willing to sing “Twist and Shout” at assembly. Thank you for mentoring our campers and showing them respect and love.  We are thankful, we will be seeing many of you next summer!

To our kitchen staff, our stomachs thank you for all the goodies. From gooey chocolate cookies to warm chicken biscuits in the morning, your cooking keeps us going each and every day.

To our alumni, thank you for reaching out to us with memories and stories of camp. Hearing about your accomplishments post-camp is such a joy. Thank you for being a part of our community and sharing your  love of camp around.

To our camp dogs, without you, camp would be a lot less smelly AND a lot less fun. Barley, thank you for putting up with dog washes during free time. Tsali, thank you for always greeting us with a “woof”. Harvey, thank you for being the loyalist dog of them all.

We hope today is filled with delicious food, loud laughter, and a lot of smiles. We are giving thanks for you all this Thanksgiving Day.

With Love and Gratitude,

Darby Dame
