Challenge Course Position Announcement

Camp High Rocks, has INSTRUCTOR and DIRECTOR openings for its High Ropes Course facility. Our course consists of 18 high elements at 25 and 45 feet. Staff will lead campers through ground school, processing, and debriefing the experience.

Responsibilities: Challenge course facilitators help cabin groups through the course, team building, processing, and initiatives. Male staff would also serve as a cabin counselor for a group of 5-7 boys. Female applicants would have additional program duties in place of cabin coverage. 

Qualifications: At least 19 years of age or rising college sophomore. Applicants should have experience with challenge course facilitation. Preference is given to those with more extensive leadership, processing, and rescue skills. Onsite certification required in late May.

Benefits: From $260 to $420 per week for the nine-week season, depending on experience and qualifications. Other training courses available in late May. Includes room, board, and free laundry facilities; staff lounge and wireless internet available; extensive professional discounts; an incredible location with over 1000 acres of wilderness; adjacent to Dupont State Forest, and a 15-minute drive to Pisgah National Forest.

Qualifications: At least 19 years of age or rising college sophomore. Applicants should have experience with challenge course facilitation. Preference is given to those with more extensive leadership, processing, and rescue skills. Onsite certification required in late May.

Benefits: From $50 to $75 per half day for the nine-week season, depending on experience and qualifications. Other training courses available in late May.
