Take On A Leadership Role

Our program emphasizes the non-competitive aspects of English horsemanship, focusing on non-abusive riding, effective communication with the horse, skill development, and using horses to enhance a child’s self image. We strive to teach riding skills and horse care in a safe and fun atmosphere.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement program goals
  • Organize riding schedule and lesson plans
  • Lead a staff of 7-8
  • Assist in the development of staff
  • Overall organization of the program
  • Work closely with the barn manager in the care of 20 horses
  • Instruction of riding to campers 7 to 16 years of age

Beginning instruction starts in one of our three rings and progresses to some low jumping and trail riding on our 1,000 acre facility.

Qualifications

At least 21 years of age. Possess skills and confidence in the leading and organization of English horsemanship. We prefer leadership experience in an English riding program and prior teaching experience, or other work with children.
