Pottery Instructor Jobs
Camp High Rocks, a private boys camp in Western North Carolina, has instructor openings for it’s summer pottery program. Pottery instructors should have experience working with clay including: kiln firing (electric), pinch pots, wheels, and glazing. The job places an emphasis on organization, creativity, flexibility, and imagination.

Responsibilities: Pottery instructors teach skills to organized classes or through one-on-one help. They assist campers in creating projects to develop skills, creativity, and just for enjoyment! Male counselors would also be a cabin counselor for group of 5-7 boys. Female applicants would have additional program duties in place of cabin coverage.
Qualifications: At least 19 years of age or rising college sophomore, with a strong interest in working with children. Preference given to those with prior experience in a pottery program.
Benefits: From $300 to $420 per week ($300-450/week for director) for the nine week season, depending on experience and qualifications. Includes room, board, and free laundry facilities; staff lounge and wireless internet available; extensive professional discounts; an incredible location with over 1000 acres of wilderness; adjacent to Dupont State Forest, and a 15 minute drive to Pisgah National Forest.
