Today was our last full day of activities. We still had a couple of trips out today. Hiking took full day hike to Panther Town for another waterfall hike. The rock climbers were out for another trip to the High Rocks. Outpost finally got their High Ropes experience in this morning. We even had a inaugural Camper-Counselor Tennis Tournament for the Two Week Session. This is typically something we only do in the longer sessions, but word got out and the campers really wanted it. The final game was this morning. We had a number of campers take time out of their activities to come watch the event.
The weather was wonderful all day. I think my favorite was just looking across the lake today to see the playground that took place during activity time. Sailboats, paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, tubing, and even some swimmers. It was a perfect time on the lake this afternoon.
Tonight, each of the cabins had their own special evening together. The wonderful weather allowed for all sorts of private campfires, games, and even some float time on the lake. Our Age Group 3 guys spent their cabin night at Chill Night since they missed earlier this week. After their private evening together, the cabins then transitioned to some discussions that will take them to their highlights and goals later tonight during their cabin meeting.
As I mentioned above. This is the first tiem we have had the Camper-Counselor Tennis Tournament in the Two Week Session! What a thrill! the staff came up with a quick way to get the bracket together. It all came down to the final round this morning! Most of High Rocks was watching this morning! Way to go winners!
There will be one more quick blog tomorrow along with a few pictures from our last full day including the banquet, the end game, and final campfire. We will certainly have them tired and ready for home.
A friendly reminder… Parents’ Day is on Saturday. Closing Day will run from 9:15 am to 11:15 am. You are welcome to arrive anytime during this window. There are no assigned times for closing day. If previous years are an indication, we expect most parents to arrive before 10:45. If you are running late, give our office a call so we can let your camper know.
The boys are going to have so many stories!!!
