Ropes Course
Our high ropes course is a challenging and exciting series of events staged 40 feet off the ground around our climbing tower. Trained staff members lead campers of all ages through the Burma Bridge, Postman’s Walk, Catwalk, Cargo Net Traverse, Zip-Line or any of eleven additional elements. While the Ropes Course is not among the activities of instruction, it is a special activity typically done in cabin groups to further strengthen the bonds and community inside the cabin.
As with all activities at High Rocks, the ropes course is challenge-by-choice, and allows campers to push themselves to extend their own circle of comfort at their own pace. For some, the diverse elements high off the ground and offer plenty of opportunities to be challenged. For others, simply going to the top of the tower and coming down via the zip line is a major accomplishment. In either case, the main aim of the ropes course is to let campers “step out on a wire” in a safe environment and to show them firsthand the power of a team-oriented, supportive environment.

The ropes course is just one of many activities at High Rocks. Camp High Rocks is a traditional summer camp with an extensive array of activities.
