Opening Day / Closing Day
Three Week, Four Week, Mini I, and Two Week Session – Arrival Time – 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Mini II – Arrival Time – 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
If you are driving to camp, we ask that you plan on arriving between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. You will be met halfway up the camp road and given some information about the check-in process. At the top of camp road, you will be directed either to our main parking lot or through camp to auxiliary parking based on the location of your son’s cabin. We will help you unload your vehicle, and then direct you and your son to the camp office where you will begin the check-in process. A staff member will then help you check in at the infirmary (leaving any medicines with the nurse) and then will walk you and your son to his cabin to meet his counselor. Your son’s trunk and other belongings will be transported to the cabin during this check-in time.
It is certainly fine to help get your son settled in; however, we do ask that you make your stay very brief (about 30 minutes) on opening day. We have found that it is easier for the boys to adjust to camp if the transition is quick. In addition, we have exceedingly limited parking, and will need to accommodate other incoming families as well.
Please talk with your camper about the activities in which he may want to participate. After lunch on the first day of camp, he will get to visit activity areas, learn about the rules, opportunities, and trips involved. He will sign up for his activities on the first night of camp. This allows him to start his activities the first full day of camp. Your son is allowed to change activities at any time. For our August two week campers, the signs up will not happen on the first day of camp. Our August campers will have the opportunity to try a few of our activities during the first two days before signing up.
Our Mini II Campers, your opening day will start at 9:30. Please arrive between 9:30-10:30 for opening day! We will help show you all our cabins, and get you checked in.
Three Week, Four Week, Mini II, and Two Week Sessions – 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with lunch offered at 11:30.
Mini I – 9:30 am start time with light refreshments served.
We hope you do not mind waiting to take a tour of camp on Parent’s Day (the closing day of the session). By that point, you will have your own personal tour guide who has lots of exciting and unique stories to tell you about everything that happened at camp! The Parent’s Day program runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the last day of each session; details of this will be sent to you during the camp session. We host a lunch at 11:30 that you are welcome to attend with your camper.
Our Mini I Campers, your closing day will start at 9:30 am. You will have a chance to take a tour with your camper so he can show and tell you about his highlights of the session in and around camp. We will then meet up for refreshments and an opportunity to visit with his counselors in the Lodge.
Due to the short duration of our sessions, there is no visitation until Parent’s Day (the closing day of the session). There are no facilities for housing visitors at camp.
IF THERE IS EVER A CHANGE IN OUR SCHEDULE (OPENING OR CLOSING DAY) DUE TO UNFORESEEN REASONS, WE WILL CONTACT YOU DIRECTLY.
